India `A' skipper upbeat
BANGALORE,
JULY 18.
Optimism remained high as the India `A' team left for the twin tour of Zimbabwe and Kenya via Mumbai on Sunday night. An upbeat India `A' skipper Sairaj Bahutule said: "The tour is a fine opportunity for our players and we are looking forward to get down there and play matches against Zimbabwe and Kenya. We have talent and experience in guys like Hemang Badani and Rohan Gavaskar and all of us have played a lot against each other in domestic cricket and know each other. I think ours is a fantastic team and we should do well. We have a mix of four day matches and one-dayers and we want to do well."
Meanwhile coach Sandeep Patil expressed his dismay over the inclement weather playing spoilsport with the team's week-long camp at Bangalore.
The India `A' team will play three four-day matches in Zimbabwe (July 22 to August 8) followed by the Tri-Series against Pakistan `A' and Kenya in Nairobi (August 11 to September 4).
