THRISSUR, JULY 18. The National Organisation of Dhanalakshmi Bank Officers (NOBO), affiliated to Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), has demanded that the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) conclude discussions on the pay revision of bank officers at the earliest. A resolution adopted at the all-India conference of the NOBO here today also demanded that the Dhanalakshmi Bank management fill up the vacancies of officers in the bank as their workload had increased after the implementation of the voluntary retirement scheme. The resolution demanded that the Union Government enhance the ceiling for income tax to Rs. 2 lakhs and increase the provident fund interest rate. The conference was inaugurated by the NOBO general secretary, Bapu Joshi. The conference elected M. Vijayan Nair president and V.K. Govindan general secretary of the association.
