HYDERABAD, JULY 18. The peace talks between naxalites and the Government might not be held in secrecy in jungles but in three towns of Telangana, Rayalaseema, and coastal areas, and in Hyderabad, under the watchful eyes of the media and representatives of different organisations. "We think people must be involved in the process. There is no point in holding talks behind closed doors. We would prefer the talks to be beamed live on television," the People's War (PW) Polit Bureau member, Prakash, and member of the Andhra Pradesh State Committee Secretariat, Ravi, said. The PW plans to invite various people's organisations and experts to observe the talks. If these go well, it plans to ask the Government to organise talks in Visakhapatnam, Warangal and Cuddapah. "This way, we can discuss regional issues. People would also have an opportunity to interact with leaders. The media should also be there," they said.
