CPI leader alleges Government apathy
By Our Special Correspondent
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
JULY 18.
The CPI Legislature Party leader, K.P. Rajendran, today criticised the Government for not providing any assistance to the family of Jogi who was killed in police firing at Muthanga in February last.
He recalled that the Chief Minister, A.K. Antony, had promised to consider the matter in the Assembly in July last.
"When the issue was raised in the Assembly during the current session, the Minister for Welfare of Scheduled and Backward Communities, M.A. Kuttappan, said that the Government has not yet decided on it. Whenever the issue was raised in the House in the past, the Chief Minister too used to say that it was being examined," he said.
