APOA submits memorandum to CM

HYDERABAD, JULY 18. A delegation of the Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association, headed by its secretary L. Venkatram Reddy, submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister, Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, urging him to allocate an additional Rs. 20 crores for sports per annum as the existing Rs. 18 crores budget would be inadequate to meet the growing demands and aspirations of the sporting fraternity.

It also pressed the need for a fresh policy to take care of sports quota recruitments in the Government since many champions from the State are looking for greener pastures in other States.
