Nav Bharat beats SAI

HYDERABAD, JULY 18. Nav Bharat defeated Sports Authority of India STC `B' 5-3 via tie-breaker in the Senior State hockey championship match at Begumpet Police Stadium here today.

Chandan Singh converted a penalty-corner in the 20th minute to put Nav Bharat ahead only to see the equaliser come for the SAI come from a field goal by Kranti Kumar.

With the two teams locked one-all at the end of regulation time, tie-breaker rule was applied in which Chandan Singh, Manoj, Narayan and Prahlad were on target while for the losers Kranti Kumar and Abdul Azeem missed.
