Sharada bags title

HYDERABAD, JULY 18. Sharada Govardhani defeated J. Shruthi 11-4, 11-3 in the under-19 girls final of the Y. Tharakanath memorial Hyderabad district badminton championship at Fateh Maidan Indoor Stadium here today.

The results:

Mini girls singles (Final): N. Sikki Reddy bt O. Aditi 11-4, 11-1.

Under-19 final: Sharada Govardhani bt J. Shruthi 11-4, 11-3.

Veterans women's final: D. Madhavi bt N. Madhav Reddy 11-1, 11-1.

Doubles final: D. Madhavi & Renuka bt Subadhar & Madhavi Reddy 15-0, 15-2.

Men's singles semifinal: N.N. Vinayak bt Piyush Agarwal 15-7, 15-3.

Doubles: K. Srinivasan & N.N. Vinayak bt Vikas Reddy and Nagaraj 15-11, 13-15, 15-7.

Boys under-19 semifinals: Piyush Agarwal bt Vinay Kumar Reddy 15-11, 8-15, 15-10; G. Anish Reddy bt Ajay Kumar 15-12, 15-0.

Mini boys doubles final: B. Sumith Reddy & Arjun Reddy bt Vishal Dev Reddy & Saharsh 15-4, 15-6.

Sub-junior boys final: G. Anish Reddy bt Vinay Kumar Reddy 17-14, 15-8.
