Big win for AP

NEW DELHI, JULY 18. Andhra Pradesh defeated Punjab by 118 runs in the National sub-junior women's cricket championship here.

The scores: AP 167 for two in 25 overs (M. Saujanya Nath 114, Archana dass 40) bt Punjab 49 in 14.5 overs (Gauhar Sultana four for six, Dhanalaxmi four for eight).

Haryana 70 in 24.2 overs (Atmaja foru for six, Supriya three for 14) lost to Karnataka 74 for two in 13 overs.

Vidarbha 44 in 17.2 overs (Shivani Singh three for seven, Kusum Tiwari three for seven, Preeti Sharma three for 12) lost to UP 45 for three in 11 overs (Shiva Kothari 30). Chhattisgarh 64 in 16.2 overs (Shatabdi Chakravarti three for 11) lost to Jharkhand 65 for no loss in 7.1 overs (Reena Singh 35 not out).
