Spate of draws in senior division

BANGALORE, JULY 18. A lone win by Friends Union CC (1) marked the KSCA senior division league which was awash with spate of drawn encounters.

FUCC (1) defeated City Cricketers by seven wickets, thanks to good bowling by B. Akhil who took four wickets for 28 runs and an unbeaten 75 by Shyam Ponnappa.

In the other senior divison matches, Malleswaram Gymkhana drew with Swastic Union (1), Herons drew with Social Cricketers. In the second division, Rajajinagar Colts defeated Sir Syed Cricketers by 43 runs.

First division: Malleswaram Gymkhana 220 for eight in 42 overs (S.N. Ameeth 50, Vamsi Krishna 70, Vijay K.Madyalkar 42, K. Yere Goud 30 n.o., K. Vadiraj four for 86) drew with Swastic Union (1) 112 for four in 37 overs (Deepak Chougle 40, S.P.Mahesh 42).

Herons CC 189 in 51.2 overs ( S.Vinod 85, K.S.T.Sai 27, 27, Raghu five for 78, Raghavendra three for 33 ) drew with Social Cricketers 126 for four in 28 overs ( Raja Vivekanand 26 n.o., M.P.Manjunath 49 n.o.).

HeronsCC 253 for nine in 47.3 overs ( Niduvan 50, K.N.Ramesh 40, K.S.T.Sai 40, B.Akhil four for 28 ) drew with Wadiyar CC 248 for eight in 54 overs ( Salim Khan 41, Fazal Khaleel 42, Rashid Hussain 25 n.o., P.Srinivasa Murhty four for 25 , K.S.T.Sai four for 52).

City Crickcters 146 in 56 overs ( M.S.Hemanth 32, Uday Madyastha 27 ) lost to FUCC ( 1) 148 for three in 20 overs (Shyam Ponnappa 75 n.o., Vinay 50, ).

Swastic Union CC ( 1) 223 for nine in 49 overs ( Deepak A.Chougle 111, S.Yoganand 26, Chetan Williams 34, Raju Bhatkal four for 31 ) drew with Bangalore Occasionals 158 for one in 31 overs ( K.P.Pawan 53 n.o., Rakshan Rai 65,Shoaib Mangal 28 n.o.).
