NALGONDA, JULY 18. The State-level meeting organised by the Rajaka Vruttidaarula Sangham has asked the Government to take steps to provide social security to the community of washermen in the light of increasing atrocities against them. Launching a three-day training programme that is being attended by more than 400 delegates from different districts, the speakers -- Akkenapalli Meenaiah, lecturer in Economics, Chinnapati Narasimha, retired General Manager (Industries) and Pailla Aasaiah, the association's State general secretary -- alleged that the community was being discriminated against on the basis of caste.
