VIJAYAWADA, JULY 18. In view of the proposed siege of the Prakasam barrage by various organisations, traffic flow will be regulated in the city from 8 am to 4 pm: heavy vehicles coming from Hyderabad side and proceeding towards Calcutta, Eluru and Chennai will be diverted from Ibrahimpatnam Ring towards Mylavaram, Nuzivid, Gannavaram on N.H-5. Heavy vehicles coming from Chennai, Machilipatnam, Eluru and Calcutta proceeding towards Hyderabad side will be diverted from Vaaradhi, Benz Circle, Ramavarappadu Ring, Gannavaram, Mylavaram and Ibrahimpatnam. Vehicles from Hyderabad proceeding towards Vijayawada, Eluru, Machilipatnam and Guntur side will be diverted from Gollapudi Bypass Road, Sithara Centre, Kabela, Milk Project, Chittinagar,Vaagu Centre, V.G.Chowk,Ganapathi Road, Panja Cenre,Railway West Booking-Tarapet Goods Shed Road, K.R. Market, Bus Terminal, Bose Statue, Low Bridge, Prakasam Statue, PCR, City Bus Terminal, Krishna Lanka PS and Vaaradahi. Vehicles from Eluru, Machilipatnam, Guntur side proceeding to Hyderabad will be diverted from Vaaradhi-Benz Circle, Ramavarappadu Ring, Gunadala, Chuuttugunta Centre, Deepthi Travels, Kothavanthena, Bose Statue, Sambamurthy Road, Eluru Locks, Pappula Mill, Railway Gate, FCI Godowns, Yarra Katta,Frizerpet Bridge, Chittinagar Tunnel, Sithara and Gollapudi Bypass Road, according to the city police.
