Drop in humidity

The Gannavaram Airport recorded a maximum temperature of 35.7 degree Celsius and a minimum of 26.3 degree Celsius on Sunday. Humidity dropped from 62 per cent in the morning to 79 per cent in the evening.

Power shutdown

The following areas under K.G. Seminar held

The Consumer Protection Act of 1986 is a powerful tool for consumers to protect themselves from the tactics of traders, the Law College lecturer, Ch. Diwakar Babu, said. Speaking at a seminar on `Consumer Protection Act: Targets,' organised by the Rotary Club of Vijayawada Central and Vijaya Hospital's Health and Personality Development Society here on Sunday, Mr. Babu said the Act enabled the consumer to bring cheating traders to book.

To become a good leader, it was necessary to develop a genuine concern for people, said K. Shankar Rao, a management consultant. Addressing a seminar on `Qualities of Leadership' organised by the Positive Thinkers' Club at Patamata, Mr. Rao said leadership qualities could not be `bought' with money or fame, but must be developed.
