Bangalore to host first Test
NEW DELHI,
JULY 19.
Bangalore will host the first Test in the four-match series between India and Australia later this year. The dates for the series were announced by the Board here on Monday.
After a three-day match at Hyderabad from September 30 to October 2, Australia will play the first Test from October 6 to 10. The venues and dates for the remaining Tests are Chennai (October 14 to 18), Nagpur (October 26 to 30) and Mumbai (November 3 to 7).
The Board also finalised the dates and venues for the series against South Africa. The visiting team will begin the tour with a three-day match at Jaipur from November 14 to 16 while the Tests will be played at Kanpur (November 20 to 24) and Kolkata (November 28 to December 2).
Kolkata will also be the venue for the one-off One-Day International between India and Pakistan, to commemorate the Board's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The match will be held on November 14. Our Special Correspondent
