By Our Special Correspondent
TIRUPATI, JULY 19. The police registered a case against one Dhananjaya Reddy on Monday for allegedly beating up his eight-year-old servant maid black and blue. The police who registered the case against the man, Dhananjaya Reddy, under section 324 of IPC, said they also found a burn injury on the girl, Lakshmi Pranna's leg. She was said to have left by her mother last year to work in Dhanjaya Reddy's house after the girl's father, who reportedly developed illicit contact with another woman in Nellore, deserted his family. Police who entered the scene following protests from the local unit of the Mahila Shakthi said the girl was thrashed by her master last Wednesday when she reportedly bungled some work entrusted to her.
