Sivanganga in semifinals

KARAIKUDI, JULY 19. Host Sivanganga entered the semifinals of the Indane - Alamu 46th Tamil Nadu State Senior inter-district football championship for S.A. Naidu Trophy with an emphatic 5-1 win over Thanjavur at the Vallambar ITI ground, Kottaiyur near here on Monday.

For Sivanganga, Subramani (2) and S. Lakshmanan (2) and Ramkumar scored. Elangovan scored the only goal for Thanjavur.

Earlier on Sunday, Sivanganga beat Tuticorin by a solitary goal scored by Ramkumar.
