Sriram scalps seven

CHENNAI, JULY 19. Right-arm medium pacer K. Sriram's seven for 49 enabled Tiruvallur restrict Nagapattinam to 154 on the opening day of the P.R. Thevar Trophy inter-district under-17 cricket tournament here on Monday.

The scores (quarterfinals):

Nagapattinam 154 in 85.1 overs (S. Surender 29, S. Raman 62, K. Sriram seven for 49) v Tiruvallur 29 for one in 11 overs.

Theni 102 in 44 overs (K.M. Ramchandran six for 42, N. Chairman Durai three for 29) v Kancheepuram DCA 105 for two in 43 overs (Kevin Sukumar 50 not out, A.C. Prathiban 41 not out).

Monday's match: At Tirunelveli (quarterfinals): Tirunelveli 330 for six in 91 overs (Viswanathan 56, Syed Refai 56, Blessing Joney 73, Vandimalayan 58, Meenakshisundaram 25, Sivaram three for 87) vs Madurai.
