NEW DELHI, JULY 19. Viraat Badhwar posted level-par three-round card and finished third in the World Junior golf championship in San Diego, California.

Playing at the par-58 Pire Glen Course of the Singing Hills Golf Club, Bhadwar fired five birdies in the final round to card his best round of the championship. A final round card of three-under 55 helped him to a level-par 174 in the boy's under-8 category.

Raymund Gonzales of the Philippines won the title with a score of 168 while the local boy Ben Doyle ended as the runner-up, finishing three strokes behind the leader.

Viraat, the eight-year-old student of Delhi Public School had finished second in same category in the 2003 edition of the World championship held at Presedo Hills.

Viraat had finished fourth in the Asia Pacific Junior Golf Championship 2004 in Jakarta, Indonesia, before taking part in the World championship.
