MUMBAI, JULY 19. Additional sessions judge Abhay Thipsay today issued non-bailable warrants for the 10 accused wanted in the Best Bakery carnage and directed the Mumbai Police Commissioner to send a team of police officers from here to execute the warrants, which are returnable on August 9. So far only 10 of the 21 accused have been arrested, while one is out on bail. Mr. Thipsay said that now the concentration should be on the arrest of the accused. Meanwhile, the issue of the public prosecutor has become more complicated. Atul Mehta, special public prosecutor, told the court that the Gujarat Government had appointed Manjula Rao as counsel to assist him in the case. Ms. Rao was earlier appointed as part of a team of public prosecutors by the Maharashtra Government for the case. Ms. Rao , however, told the court that she had received no information about this. "I have not seen the notification as I was out of town," she said. Mr. Mehta presented the notification dated July 7 to the court, and said it had been forwarded by the Gujarat Government as well.
