Daya Jacob in semifinals

KOCHI, JULY 19. Daya Elsa Jacob entered the under-16 girls' final of the Ernakulam district badminton championship at the Regional Sports Centre here on Monday.

The results: Girls: Under-16 semifinals: Daya Elsa Jacob bt P.S. Linimol 11-8, 11-2; Megha Merin Ninan bt P.S. Anumol 11-4, 11-1.

Under-10 semifinal: Boneetha Bose bt V.H. Pavithra 11-0, 11-1; quarterfinal: V.H. Pavithra bt M. Gowna 13-10, 11-8; P.S. Sinimol bt Anagha Unni 13-10, 11-8.

Boys: Under-13 doubles semifinal: Abraham Philip/Kesav bt Ram/Vinay 15-2, 15-8.
