Ankith scores century

BANGALORE, JULY 19. Ankith Karkera's 106 helped Mangalore Zone score 285 against Shimoga Zone in a KSCA inter-zonal under-17 tournament match that commenced at the NRA Palace Ground here on Monday. At close, Shimoga Zone was 21 for no loss in four overs.

The scores: Mangalore Zone 285 (Ankith Karkera 106, Sachin Shenoy 65, Gurudeep 38) vs Shimoga Zone 21 for no loss.

Dharwad Zone 340 (Dheeraj Shabadhi 74, B. Tanu 72, S. Masalwadi 57, Rohit Patel 54, Anirudh Joshi 35, Ashok 27, Appanna four for 80, Daniel three for 64) vs Bangalore Zone 45 for no loss (S. Vinod 34 n.o.).
