Raichur Zone well placed

MYSORE, JULY 19. Md. Rizwan (57) and Rajkumar (68), skipper Vinayak Rao (78), Rajkumar (68), Vinay (54) and H. Azhar (42) helped Raichur Zone rattle up 379 for eight in 90 overs on the first day of its group `B' league encounter against Tumkur Zone in the KSCA Inter-zonal under-17 cricket tournament at the Gangotri grounds here on Monday.

The scores: At Mysore: Raichur Zone 379 for eight in 90 overs (Md. Rizwan 57, Rajkumar 68, Vinayak Rao 78, Vinay 54, H. Azhar 42; Sandeep four for 117) v Tumkur Zone.

At Mandya: Bangalore City 174 in 67.4 overs (K.V. Darshan 79, Nishanth Hegde 35; Aditya B. Sagar four for 31, H. S. Ravi three for 35) v Mysore Zone 73 for two in 22 overs (Pawan Simha 42).
