Flower market to be shifted
While visiting the new Okhla Flower Market on Friday, he said the shifting of the market would help ease the traffic congestion in South Delhi. The new market is due to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Sheila Dikshit, on September 15 and Mr. Chauhan said that the Agricultural Marketing Board had been instructed to allot 20 per cent of the 141shops and plots constructed at Okhla market to the farmers.
A unique stone surgery
A team of doctors led by urologist, Anupam Bhargava, conducted the operation. The operation was done with the help of an endoscope which was inserted into the baby, Suvit Joshia's kidney through a 2 mm incision in the skin of his back. The optical system enabled Dr. Bhargava to see inside the baby's kidney and the stone was broken by laser and the entire fragments were removed from the same tract.
Indo-Russian business ties
The discussion provided information to the Indian businessmen who had been educated in the universities of the former USSR, to improve the bilateral ties in the sphere of small and medium business development in both the countries. The Head of the Information and Cultural Section, RCSC, Sergey Cherkas, initiated the discussion and made a presentation on the latest Russian business projects and facilities. The presentation provided specific technical specifications and scientific advancements in terms of its utility and application in Indian context.
