TIRUCHI, JULY 19 . Harmander Singh took charge as the Commissioner of the Tiruchi Corporation today. A 1989 batch IAS officer, Mr. Singh had served as Collector of Pudukottai and Dindigul districts and also as Commissioner of Tirunelveli Corporation for two and half years from 2001. In a brief interaction with the media soon after assuming charge, Mr. Singh said his main priority would be to increase the revenue of the Corporation. The Commissioner said he would make efforts to motivate health workers and focus on team effort in carrying out developmental works. The Commissioner said he would take all steps to expedite the ongoing works being carried out by the Corporation. He also said he would look into the complaints given by the public and try his best to solve them.
