HYDERABAD, JULY 19. The Archbishop of Hyderabad, Marampudi Joji, has appealed to the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, to take action against persons responsible for the alleged attack on the Malankara Catholic Church Bethany Ashram in Picket on Thursday and sought protection to the church superior and its members as they feared threat to their lives. In a letter to Dr. Reddy, a copy of which was released to the press, Rev. Joji charged that a group of persons had trespassed into the church and attacked some community members including the priest, Joseph Vattaparambil, and ransacked the premises.
