Karun's bad luck continues
CHENNAI,
JULY 20.
Karun Chandhok's season of bad luck continued at the Oulton Park Formula 3 circuit on Sunday when he was forced to retire from both races due to mechanical failure. In the first and second qualifying sessions, he finished 8th and 11th positions respectively.
The first race, however, started well for Karun when he passed Will Power at the start and was running in the seventh place. But on lap 2, Power tried to muscle his way around Karun, sending the Indian onto the grass. Soon, Karun was forced to retire with a fuel pump failure.
Race two was over for Karun even before it started. As the T-sport Team driver went to start the engine, a problem was noticed with the main crankshaft of the engine. With not enough time to change the engine, Karun could not make it to the start.
