Artillery Centre has it easy
HYDERABAD,
JULY 20.
Artillery Centre scored a comfortable 4-0 win over AC Guards XI to move into the semi-final of the Senior State hockey championship at Begumpet Police Stadium here on Tuesday. The winner led 2-0 at the break.
Centerr-forward Osman Bin Abdullah struck in the 15th and 51st minutes while inside-right Paul Lakra was on target in the 22nd and 67th minutes to complete the tally.
In another quarterfinal, South Central Railway recorded an emphatic 9-4 win against Nav Bharat Club after leading 7-2 at the break. Left-half Johnson Ekka (1), outside-right Prabhakar (2), centre-half Amit Kumar (2), centre-forward Dung Dung (2), left-out Mohd Aslam (1), right-out Amit Srivastava (1) were the scorers. For the losers, right-in Sanjay (1), right-out Prakash Singh (1), centre-forward Chandan Singh (2) reduced the margin.
