Award for woman entrepreneur
KOZHIKODE: Ambika Ramesh, Managing Director of ayurvedic cosmetic products, Ambika and Company, has been honoured with the Rashtriya Rathan Award instituted by the Global Economic Council in recognition of her contributions to national development and for emerging as a role model in her field of business.
The award was presented by the Karnataka Governor, T. N. Chathurvedi, at a function held in Bangalore on June 30, it was announced by a spokesman for Ambika and Company here on Tuesday. The Kozhikode-based Ambika and Company manufactures cosmetic products and markets under the brand names Charmasree and Kesasree. Ms. Ambika Ramesh is wife of Ramesh, Managing Director of R. G. Group, a 60-year-old company engaged in manufacturing gingelly oil.
