Strike in Chitradurga

CHITRADURGA, JULY 20. The former workers of Akshara Dasoha mid-day meal scheme resorted to a strike here on Monday to highlight the injustice meted out to them. The workers were cooking food for schoolchildren under the scheme. But some of them who served under the scheme last year were dismissed in Hosadurga taluk and new staff appointed in their place, the protestors said.
