Cloudy sky forecast

A generally cloudy sky has been the forecast for Wednesday.

The city on Tuesday recorded a maximum temperature of 33.4 degree Celsius and a minimum of 23.8 degree Celsius. The relative humidity stood at 52 per cent.

Counselling for PG courses

The second phase of counselling for admission to the PG courses (MA/M.Sc/M.Com) in Osmania University will be conducted from July 22 onwards at University College for Women, Koti.

The admission schedule and vacancy position is displayed on the University website -- www.osmania.ac.in.

Women's panel to visit MCH

The National Commission for Women has decided to visit the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) on Wednesday to verify the allegations that `safai karamcharis' are being denied minimum wages.

Disclosing this to the press here on Tuesday, the NCW Chairperson, Poornima Advani, said that a group of 58 women `safai karamcharis' of MCH had submitted a representation in this regard.

HUDA staff gesture

Employees of HUDA donated their one-day salary towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund on Tuesday.

The HUDA Chairman, D. Sudheer Reddy, accompanied by officials and union leaders, handed over the cheque for Rs. 1.35 lakhs to the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

NIMS counselling

The counselling for admission to Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and B.Sc (Nursing) courses will be held at the Learning Centre of the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) on July 24 from 9.30 a.m. for BPT and 11.30 a.m. for B.SC (Nursing), according to a press release.
