HYDERABAD, JULY 20. A housewife, Shirisha, jumped from her flat on Tuesday at Shanti Gardens in Nacharam on learning that her husband, Srinivas Reddy (33), who was attacked with knives on July 15, succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment. She broke her two legs and was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital. "Doctors said she was out of danger," the Malkajgiri ACP, Prabhakar Reddy, said. The Nacharam police altered the case of attempt to murder to that of murder and launched a hunt to nab the assailants who attacked Srinivas Reddy. The car in which the assailants allegedly fled was found abandoned near the MCH Quarters at Tukaramgate three days later. The ACP said motive behind the killing was yet to be ascertained. "The victim had started a Bachelor of Education college at Jagityal in Karimnagar. We're probing if the alleged differences with his partners led to the killing," the ACP said. The police were also investigating into the alleged dispute the victim had with one of his close relatives over three acres of land at Balapur.
