THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JULY 21. The Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) for various courses in the engineering colleges in the State will be conducted here from August 2 onwards.

The allotment will be for all the seats (except those in the management category) in the government/aided colleges and the government seats which constitute 50 per cent of the total number of seats in each branch in the self-financing engineering colleges. Further, the seats for the B.Tech. (Dairy Science) and B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) courses of the Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) will also be covered by the CAP. The allotment of seats will be based on the rank secured by candidates in the entrance test conducted in April 2004, by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations CEE.

The fee for students admitted to the government seats in the government, aided and self-financing engineering colleges is Rs. 6,200 for one academic year. For both the courses of the KAU, the fee amounts to Rs. 2,125 each, for the first semester.
