Three farmers end lives

VIZIANAGARAM, JULY 21: S. Simhachalam (50) of Krishnarayudupeta in Vepada mandal ended his life by consuming pesticide last night. Reports said the farmer's wife rushed him to a private nursing home in Kothavalasa, where she was told to shift him to the KGH in Visakhapatnam. Simhachalam died on the way to Visakhapatnam.

GUNTUR: Challagundla Veeraraghavalu (24) of Kothaganeshudupalem in Machavaram mandal the district committed suicide on Wednesday. His family said the he was disturbed over the property attachment notice served to him by a court for not repaying the he had taken from Vemula Prasad.

Rajahmundry: Akula Polaraju (40), a tenant farmer of Rayavaram in the East Godavari district, consumed pesticide on Tuesday. According to locals, the farmer's debts were mounting, and he had been unable to obtain land for cultivation. He is survived by wife and two sons, aged seven and 12.
