KOLLAM, JULY 22. Five taluk-level committees comprising Government officials have been constituted to inspect and submit report on the safety aspects of schools and Anganwadis in the district. The committees were constituted at an ad hoc meeting here today presided over by the District Collector, B. Sreenivas, following directions from the State Government. The inspection process would begin on July 23. The building housing the school, electric connections and other aspects would be subjected to the inspection. The committee comprises personnel from the Revenue, KSEB, Public Works and Social Welfare departments. They have been instructed to submit the reports by July 26 to the Collector. The Collector called upon the respective school authorities and members of the Parent-Teacher Associations to extend cooperation to the committees.
