Qualcomm R & D centre

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad R&D centre being set up by Qualcomm, best known as the company that pioneered code division multiple access (CDMA), will become operational within a few months, according to Rishi Dhingra, Director, Business Development. He was interacting with media here on Thursday on new high data rate technologies developed by Qualcomm such as IX EV-DO, EV-DV and WCDMA. Explaining the technology evolution, he said Qualcomm's initiatives have been to extract as much as possible from the spectrum using modulation techniques.
