Bannari Info launches road speed limiter

COIMBATORE: Bannari Infotech Pvt. Ltd. has launched road speed limiter, an electro-mechanical control device that limits the speed of travel for a vehicle. It has been certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) as meeting AIS 018 norms. The device has tamper proof features and does not impair the driving ability. According to the Managing Director of the company, K. S. Sundara Raman, it aims at selling 5,000-10,000 units in the next 12 months. The company has resources to produce up to one lakh units in 12 months, depending on the demand. "The product is suitable for all models of Ashok Leyland and Telco buses, lorries and other heavy vehicles", he added.
