Kalamandalam Gopi ailing

THRISSUR, JULY 22. The condition of the Kathakali maestro, Kalamandalam Gopi, who had been under treatment at a private hospital in Kunnamkulam, is reported to be stable.

According to Joshi Thomas, physician at the Unity Hospital, Mr. Gopi is suffering from jaundice.

Mr. Gopi has been discharged from the hospital and would be taken to Kochi on Friday for detailed medical examination.

The Culture Minister, G. Karthikeyan, called up Mr. Gopi's relatives and enquired about the maestro's health, family sources said.
