PATHANAMTHITTA, JULY 22. The Lord Ayyappa Temple at Sabarimala was opened this afternoon for the annual Niraputhari celebrations of tomorrow. The Melsanthi, Gosala Vishnu Vasudevan, opened the sanctum sanctorum in the afternoon for the devotees to offer prayers. The rituals will begin with `Ganapathi homam' tomorrow morning. The Tantri, Kantaru Rajeevaru, will perform the rituals in the auspicious `muhurthom' between 5.16 a.m. and 6.16 a.m. According to Mr. Rajeevaru, `kalabhabhishekom' and `sahasrakalasom' will be the special rituals at the Sannidhanam tomorrow. The temple will be closed after the `athazha' pooja in the evening.
