Karthik Dhore enters final

MYSORE, JULY 22 . Karthik Dhore (Mys) registered an easy 6-1, 6-0 win over Chirag S Igoor (Mys) and entered the final of the boys' under-12 section in the Karnataka State ranking tennis tournament at the Cosmopolitan Club courts here on Thursday.

In the other semi-final, fifth seed Praveen Ramaswamy (Bng) quelled the challenge put up by team-mate Rashim Samuel (Bng) 6-2, 6-4 to sail into the final.

The results (Boys U-12 semifinals): Karthik Dhore (Mys) bt Chirag S Igoor (Mys) 6-1, 6-0; Praveen Ramaswamy (Bng) bt Rashim Samuel (Bng) 6-2, 6-4.

Quarterfinals: Rashim Samuel (Bng) bt C.M. Kiran (Mys) 6-4, 7-6 (7-0); Chirag S Igoor (Mys) bt Sharan Patil (Bng) 6-1, 6-0; Praveen Ramaswamy (Bng) bt Vinod Gowda (Bng) 6-0, 6-2; Karthik Dhore (Mys) bt N. Pruthvika (Mys) 6-0, 6-0.

Girls Under-12 quarterfinals: J. Pooja bt Lehari 8-3; Niharika Hubli bt Heena 8-0; Supriya bt Sanjana 8-0; Amoolya bt B. S. Pooja 8-1.

Pre-quarterfinals: Heena bt Druthi 8-6; J. Pooja bt Apeksha V Raker 8-6; Niharika bt Sanjana Murthy 8-6; M. Sanjana bt Archana 8-3; Supriya bt Rachana 12-10.
