ICF in last four

MADURAI, JULY 22. Defending champion Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai entered the semifinals of the 12th annual Rajamani-Kanagamaniammal Memorial Trophy State-level hockey tournament with a 2-1 win over Central Excise, Chennai at the Police Centenary stadium here on Thursday.

The results (quarterfinals): ICF 2 (Rajendra Prasad, Pal Pandy) bt Central Excise, Chennai 1 (Saravanan). Southern Railway 7 (Divakar, Gautham 2, Jegat, Arumugam, Dixan, Natarajan) bt Indian Bank 6 (L. Prabakaran 2, S. Prabakaran, Venkatesan, Thirumavalavan, Alfred) via sudden death. SAI Hostel 3 (James, David, Raj) bt Reserve Line Sports Club 0; IOB, Chennai 3 (Gopi, Arunkumar, Anand) bt Reserve Bank, Chennai 2 (Radhakrishnan, Johanson).
