T.V.S. School wins title
MADURAI,
JULY 22.
T.V.S. Higher Secondary School lifted the T. V. Sundaram Iyengar Trophy, defeating St. Mary's Higher Secondary School 3-2 via tie-breaker in the final of the district level schools football tournament, conducted by T.V.S. Higher Secondary school old students here on Thursday.
The teams were locked goalless in regulation time. In the tie breaker, Rajesh Kannan, Balamurugan, Pradeepkumar scored for T.V.S. School and Alwin and Santhanam scored for St. Mary's.
Earlier results: semifinals: T.V.S. HSS 4 (Mani Arasan 2, Rajesh Kannan 2) bt MNUJ Higher Secondary School 0; St. Mary's 4 (Jeyaraman 2, Mani, Santhanam) bt T.V.S. Lakshmi Matriculation HSS 1 (Sheik Rehaman).
