Badrinath scalps eight

CHENNAI, JULY 22 . S. Badrinath took eight for 36 in Alwarpet's second knock as Jolly Rovers posted a 155-run win on day three of the fourth round in the SPIC-TNCA first division cricket league here on Thursday.

Alwarpet collapsed to 106 all out in 40.5 overs after Jolly Rovers, overnight on 101 for seven, declared its second innings on 179 for eight, setting Alwarpet a target of 262. For Jolly Rovers, Syed Mohamed scored an unbeaten 70 (93b, 9x4).

The scores: Jolly Rovers 278 for nine decl. in 84.2 overs & 179 for eight decl. in 45 overs (Syed Mohamed 70 not out, Huzefa M. Patel four for 75) beat Alwarpet 196 in 70.5 overs & 106 in 40.5 overs (S. Badrinath eight for 36), at IIT-Chemplast. Jolly Rovers 8; Alwarpet 0.

SBI 274 in 116.1 overs & 183 for three in 66.5 overs (E. Arunkumar 100 not out, G. Venkatraman 57) drew with IOB 420 for six decl. in 74.1 overs (V. Nagini Kumar 74, Amit Pathak 174, Y. Gnaneshwar Rao 66, A.S.K. Varma 52, E. Prabhu three for 96), at MAC `A'. IOB 5; SBI 2.
