MYSORE, JULY 22 . The first State-level conference of Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India will be held at Hotel Lalitha Mahal Palace here on July 24 and 25. V. Lakshminarayan, chairman of the conference organising committee, said 400 delegates, including experts from the U.S., would participate in the conference. It would not only help diabetologists to learn the latest discoveries in the diabetes treatment, but also create awareness among the patients and their families. As part of the conference, a diabetes awareness programme would be held at Platinum Jubilee Hall, Mysore Medical College, J.K. Grounds, from 4 p.m. to 6 pm on July 25. He said the conference would be inaugurated by Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji of Suttur Math. M.V. Govindappa, senior physician, would release a souvenir. For more details, call 9448055503.
