KANCHEEPURAM, JULY 22. Free cataract surgery will be performed at Madurantakam Government Hospital on July 27 and 28. It has been decided to conduct cataract screening camps in Achirapakkam, Madurantakam, Chithamur and Lattur panchayat union areas on July 23 and 24 to identify persons who might require surgery. According to a recent survey conducted by the District Blindness Control Society, it was found that 907 persons in Achirapakkam panchayat union were suffering from cataract, 1,337 in Madurantakam panchayat union, 1,106 in Chithamur union and 560 in Lattur union.
