Announcing this at the end of the party legislators' meeting, S. Ramadoss, founder, said the total contribution would be Rs. 27.5 crores. The money would be earmarked for schools run by the Government and local bodies for replacement of thatched roofs and improving amenities. Dr. Ramadoss wanted the Government to relax norms in release of funds under the scheme so that the entire money would be provided for the victims.
