Two farmers end life

GUNTUR, JULY 22. Two farmers committed suicide in Machavaram and Phirangipuram mandals of Guntur district on Thursday.

K.Venkateswarlu, 32, of Pinnelli village in Machavaram mandal consumed pesticide late on Wednesday night and died in the early hours today.

He cultivated chilli in five acres and also worked part-time as a broker in the chilli market.

He had incurred debt to the tune of Rs. 3 lakh. Another farmer committed suicide later in the day and the details are awaited.
