BANGALORE, JULY 22. The State Government today suspended from service K.M. Channakeshava, the administrative medical officer of Victoria Hospital, who was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for allegedly issuing a fake medical certificate to Abdul Kareem Telgi, the prime accused in the multi-crore stamp paper scandal. Last week, CBI officers had raided the office and residence of two Victoria Hospital doctors, including Dr. Channakeshava. It was alleged that the doctors had issued medical reports and certificates to enable Telgi to get bail from the courts.
