BANGALORE, JULY 22. Air travel will become cheaper with the leading private carrier, Jet Airways, joining the fare war and slashing its 30-day apex (advance purchase) air ticket prices by up to 27 per cent. According to the new monsoon apex scheme of Jet Airways, a Bangalore-Delhi one-way economy class ticket will now be available for Rs. 3,500. The old fare was Rs. 4,790. The Bangalore-Kolkata one-way economy class ticket fare has also been slashed. The new fare is Rs. 3,500. The new apex fares will be effective till September 15. The entire journey against these fares should be completed on or before October 15.
