BANGALORE, JULY 22. The Fourth Fast Track Sessions Court Judge, M. Ramesh Rao, on Wednesday convicted and sentenced an employee of a private factory to life imprisonment and fined him Rs. 1,000 for murdering the manager of the factory. On November 9, 2000, Hanumantha (35) of Talaghatapura chased and hacked to death Basappa (30), manager of APCO factory on its premises in Subramanyapura police station limits. Hanumantha had told the court that he murdered Basappa as he used to harass him. The Subramanyapura police had arrested Hanumantha and filed a chargesheet against him in the court.
