The Chancellor of the Madras University has appointed Dr. A. Lakshmanaswami Mudaliar as Vice-Chancellor with effect from August 20, for a further term of three years, an official communiqué said in Madras on July 23. The present term of the Vice-Chancellor ends on August 19.
