My brother is not quitting, says YSR

By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD, JULY 23. Speculation over the Cuddapah MP, Y. S. Vivekananda Reddy's proposed resignation was put at rest by the Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, on Friday by declaring that his brother would complete his term.

Following rumours that there were differences in the YS family over his continuing as MP, Mr. Vivekananda Reddy clarified a couple of days ago that he was putting in his papers due to personal reasons. He also defended the entry of his nephew, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister's son, into active politics by contesting the by-election. But, after a visit to New Delhi, Mr. Vivekananda Reddy said he was retracting his decision.
